Downloading Videos
With My Video Downloader HD you can download video from online video sharing websites such as YouTube, MySpace and DailyMotion. You can download and convert or just download the video file and NOT convert it.
Downloading Options
You can change which folders to download the video files to and which folder to move the converted folder to (defaults to My Documents/My Video Downloader/Donwloaded Videos or Converted Videos).You can use our Queue settings to set how many video download at a time, you also have the option to set downloads to automatically begin as soon as they are added to the queue.
Converting / Encoding Videos
Changing video formats has never been so easy. You can convert videos that while downloading them from online websites OR you can convert the video you already have stored on your computer.
Supported Video Formats
We support all popular video formats to convert to and from such as MP4, MKV, WMV, MP3, MPEG, MPEG2, AVI, Mov, Flash, and 3gp. Changing the video file to these formats allows you to place video on almost any device!
High Definition Support
We now offer the ability to download and convert videos in High Definition such as 1080p and 720p resolutions! Please note that the video will never be better than the one available from the video website, so if the video is in 1080p online it will convert and look exactly the same as the one online. However if you download a standard definition video you can still convert to HD, but it will not look better than the original file. So the file will be larger but not have a higher definition.
Quality Settings
Not only can you choose the format to convert the video file to, you also have full control over the quality settings. You can modify the video and audio quality and more! Most downloaders do NOT offer this feature! This is a great feature as sometimes file size is more important than quality size and vice versa. The higher the quality the larger the file and lower the quality the smaller the file.
